The Golden Call from Emirates

It's awesome! When log into the candidate portal you can see the count down date!

This waiting game drive me crazy. And the wait is over! I am officially received the very very very golden call from Emirates on Wednesday, 15th of April at 1309hrs. I was at China.

I am so excited!

I thought I would received the call on that day or the next day, because my online status changed to "Joining Formalities In Progress" on 8th of April. I went on about my day, still checking my phone like every 15 minutes, just in case I was missing out on anything. I think I am about to crazy!

One day, Two day, three day... day past day... I knew that I might missed the "Golden Call" from Emirates. So before I travel to China I leave my China contact number to my auntie, in case they can't reach my Malaysia contact number. And at the second day I went to China, my auntie received a call from Emirates at 8pm something, on Monday. So technically is my auntie got the "Golden Call", LOL.

So, on Tuesday I still didn't receive any call from Emirates but an email said that I am uncontactable and asked me to provide them a reachable contact number. I have try to call to their office but I can't reached them. On Wednesday, I was at a hall watching a Chinese Traditional live show, I had just sat down for some snacks, took a sip of my tea. Then, the next moment my phone rang. I was completely shocked, as I looked down onto my phone and saw a number which start with "+971".

My heart beat rapidly and I answered the call immediately and sure thing, it was my recruitment coordinator, finally! It was about time as I had been waiting for 7 days already!

I could hardly make out anything she was saying, but I was just too excited to care. She offered me to join them on 12th of June but I postponed it to 21st of August. After that she told me that I will received an email and about accept the contract and medical things bla bla bla... I just made sure I listened and focused on what she said. It was really hard to understand her English as her accent was so diffirent!

My date of Joining is 21st of August. That is the date that I will fly from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia to Dubai. It's my elder brother's Birthday as well!

What I now need to focus on, is getting through all my medicals. I am starting after I end my China trip. Going to fill up the Medical Declaration form, Medical History form, get an appoinment to the dentist for check-up. The sooner I can upload this on my portal, the sooner I will  know if I get "Final Approval" Status.
